When my girls were little, I made them a crochet basket one year, as one of their Easter gifts. The basket was well loved over the years, but was eventually given away as they got older. I decided to make another crochet basket this year, after a request for the pattern.

To make your own crochet basket, you will need double knit or aran yarn, a 5mm crochet hook, a pair of scissors and a yarn needle. The pattern is suitable for beginners and is written using American terminology. This basket is approximately 5” wide, which makes it the perfect size for stuffing with craft supplies, small toys or sweets to give as a cute gift.
